As you visited this sorrowful building, you became enlightened on how many shells of past human beings were carted into this building.  The amazing and horrifying thing about this, is that the nearby townspeople were rained on by fine ash, and that peculiar odor of burning flesh through drifting smoke, which most would not have recognized until they actually experienced a  human on fire. Most of us do not know the smell of death, but once we are introduced with it, WE never forget that particular odor, ever ever again.  The horrifying thing about the death camps, even when the Nazis knew that they were losing, they kept their gruesome work up, ten fold, until forced to retreat because of the approaching enemy (people like us, all nationalities of the Allies) and they still found it necessary to  kill whomever in their path, cruelly and mercilessly, before they ran away. So when those who say the holocaust, never existed, and those SS people who were guards , said we were only following orders on far of their own death, and to the members of the Wermacht, who also took part with the SS  in Eisenzgruppen (sp) ( traveling death squads) activity in eastern Europe, you place evidence directly in front of them , that they were a lie, and what they stood for  was evil. They still denied it, andjust lied to themselves because the rest of us knownthe truth.  I am proud of you and of all that go to these camps to discovery real history and to cherish the memories of fallen innocence, and to keep the memory of their deaths alive as we are today.   I have studied this horror for years and once wanted to teach it, but I am content with remembering and praying that we will never be this cruel as human beings again. Sadly, the cruelty continues, for the same fanatic and insane reasoning's

Avery clear and sobering image, and you feel the sadness s human energy fills every crack of brick and mortar in this building. Beautifully shown in black and white, brings out stark reality, and the gloom of a cold and  cloudy day ( looks like remnants of snow possibly on the ground) lend testament to the capture of history you eyed and so perfectly documented.
